TesterArmy is now **e2e**, and we've raised
**$8 million** in seed funding
to build the verification layer
for the agentic coding era.

## Why verification

Building software has changed more in the last two years than in the twenty before. Coding agents now write a large share of the code that ships, and they do their best work against strict checks. The stricter the checks, the better the code.

So good software now depends on good verification. With e2e, we're solving the most important part of it: making sure the app actually works, on any device, under any conditions.

## Origin

We started TesterArmy earlier this year and went through Y Combinator. The more customers we had, the more we ran into the limits of a closed platform: we couldn't let our customers store their tests together with their code, we couldn't let them use just any model, and, most importantly, we couldn't let them run their tests locally, right next to their coding agent.

So we took everything we learned building TesterArmy and put it into `e2e`, built in the open. Your tests are code you own, the model is your call, and it runs locally or in your CI.

We launched it on October 1, 2026, and developers fell in love with it.

The post announcing `e2e`.
A single command was all it took for developers to start testing their apps with agents.

## Traction

In its first month, `e2e` passed **1.5M** downloads on npm and **12k** stars on GitHub, and welcomed **60** external contributors. It is still accelerating: `e2e` now gets around **100,000** downloads a day.

## Why the name e2e

Within a month, e2e became what developers know us for. It also became more obvious to us that it better fits the grand vision of the company: helping agents do their work end to end. With these in mind, we decided e2e is a better name for our next era.

Testing is where that starts, and with e2e we became the software verification layer for the agentic coding era.

## The road ahead

`e2e` will always be the simplest and most effective way to verify the work of your coding agents end to end.

If you're new here, welcome! `npx e2e init` takes you from install to your first passing test in about a minute. It's open source under Apache-2.0, and it stays that way.

The framework is the first piece of the verification layer. Next year, we're launching e2e cloud, so teams can run `e2e` on the best infrastructure with the best models and the widest range of devices. More tools will follow for every software verification step.

If you use the TesterArmy platform today, it stays available until January 15, 2027, and we'll help you move your tests to e2e before then. [Read more](https://tester.army/).

## We're hiring

We're growing the team in Warsaw and San Francisco. If you want to build this with us, [see open roles](https://e2e.tester.army/careers) or email three bullet points showing evidence of exceptional ability, along with your resume, to [join@e2e.com](mailto:join@e2e.com).

## Conclusion and final thank you

TesterArmy is now e2e: the same team, with the same obsession with software that works. As coding agents write more of the world's code, every team building with them will need a way to trust what they ship. With **$8M in seed funding** and a passionate team, we're ready to build that layer.

Thank you to everyone who tried `e2e`, opened an issue, or sent a pull request. This is just the beginning, and we'd love for you to build it with us.
